Property Description

Taralee Orchards is a 115 acre undulating property adjacent to the Wirrabara State Forest in the Southern Flinders Ranges. The main commercial activity is producing certified biodynamically grown stonefruit, with value added products such as dried fruit, jams, sauces and chutneys, as well as honey. Since June 2000, a self-contained B&B has been operating. Being close to the Heysen and Mawson trails and the historic Wirrabara Forest Nursery makes it an ideal location for bushwalks, cycle tours and picnics. There is also an assortment of animals and poultry on the farm providing additional interest, particularly for children.
