Cradle Mountain is the start of the famous Overland Track Covering 161 000 hectares the national park offers a range of guided and non guided walks for all fitness levels including the popular 6km Dove Lake Circuit and Marions Lookout Walk Dove Lake Canoe Tours seasonal with experienced guides provides all the necessary instruction to enjoy this beautiful glacial lake from a modern double canoe Horseback trail rides and helicopter flights are available outside the park boundary with Devils Cradle offering guided day and night tours of their resident Tasmanian Devil population
Just over an hour away the nearby Mole Creek Karst National Park is home to the famous Marakoopa and King Solomon Caves with their stunning display of stalactites stalagmites and glow worms
