Hotels usually offer a large range of sole occupancy rooms, in a multi-storied layout. Hotels often contain bars, cafes and restaurants and/or offer meals and drinks delivered to your room. They are normally licensed and provide alcohol as part of their service. The Hotel environment ranges from cosmopolitan comfort, with security or valet parking, to Outback Heritage in the traditional Australian style.
The table below provides a guide to the absolute minimum a Hotel must offer to achieve the required STAR Rating. Many Hotels exceed this basic description and offer other facilities and services that are not listed here. Each STAR Rating level must include all listed requirements of lower levels.
